Grow And Share Music Festival 2010

Sunday, Sep 5 10:30am to 5:00pm
Durham Central Park
534 Foster Street
Durham, NC 27701

The music festival is the main annual fundraiser for Grow And Share.  Band and sponsor information will be released as we get closer to Summer.

Funds raised from this event will help us fight hunger through the rest of 2010 and into 2011 when we plan for larger giveaway of free garden plants into new locales! The more funding we raise, the more Sharing Gardens™ our gardeners (YOU) will be able to grow, and the more food our gardeners will distribute through their neighborhoods to those in need.

If your business would like to support this event, contact us via 1.919.269.5414. Appropriate types of  wares or services may be featured or sold at this festival. Contact us and we’ll be happy to speak with you, whether you wish to sponsor, donate, vend, educate, or bring your family and friends out for the day.

*** THIS 2009 FUNDRAISING EVENT HAS ALREADY OCCURRED ***

Our 2009 fundraiser is the GROW AND SHARE MUSIC FESTIVAL. This Labor Day weekend festival includes music from seven bands/musicians! The festival is Sunday, September 6, 2009. It is at Main Street Park, Rolesville, NC USA and runs from 10am to 8pm.

The children’s area will be to the side of the music area. It includes a playground, kids bouncy house, balloons, and more.  Grow And Share will be distributing free English/Spanish coloring books (on gardening and food, of course) from the Grow And Share booth and the Guerrilla Growfair booth.  The festival also features several “farm education stations” including the Vollmer Farm gazebo where you can pick up information on gardening and farming.

The music/stage/field section of the park has room for you to stand or sit, and listen to the music. We have a variety: folk, acoustic rock, blues, Southern Rock, etc. Bring your chairs and blankets to come enjoy the day with us! Band bios are posted on this site starting here.

Check out the two festival PDF files. One PDF is an event poster. The other PDF contains information and registration forms for vendors, sponsors, and donators. If you want to vend or sponsor, sign up now so that your name or logo can be on the signs and banners during the event!

Our overall sponsor is WSHA 88.9FM radio! We thank the station, and especially Azuka M. from the “Reggae Lounge”, for support of this fundraiser!
